ACEMAGIC Revamps F5A Mini PC: Ryzen AI HX 470 Boosts Storage and Connectivity
Breaking: ACEMAGIC F5A Goes AI with Ryzen HX 470
ACEMAGIC has officially launched an upgraded version of its F5A mini desktop PC, now powered by the Ryzen AI HX 470 processor. The compact system supports up to three internal SSDs and features two USB4 ports alongside an OCuLink port for external PCIe 4.0 x4 connections.

“This spec bump positions the F5A as a versatile workstation for AI workloads and high-speed data transfers,” said Sandra Lee, senior analyst at TechTrends Research. “The addition of OCuLink is a game-changer for users needing external GPU enclosures.”
Key Specifications
- Processor: AMD Ryzen AI HX 470 (8 cores, up to 5.1 GHz)
- Memory: Up to 64GB DDR5
- Storage: 3x M.2 slots (PCIe 4.0)
- Ports: 2x USB4 (40Gbps), 1x OCuLink, 2x HDMI 2.1, 2x DisplayPort, 2x USB 3.2, 2x USB 2.0
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Ethernet 2.5GbE
Background
The original ACEMAGIC F5A debuted in late 2023 with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor. It offered dual SSDs and USB4 but lacked OCuLink. The new model replaces the CPU with the Ryzen AI HX 470, which integrates a neural processing unit for on-device AI tasks.

“We listened to customer feedback demanding more storage flexibility and faster external expansions,” an ACEMAGIC spokesperson stated. “The HX 470 delivers significant AI acceleration without increasing power consumption.”
What This Means
For professionals in video editing, 3D rendering, and AI model deployment, the F5A now competes with larger towers while maintaining a 1-liter footprint. The triple M.2 slots allow RAID configurations for blazingly fast storage arrays.
“This is a compelling alternative to Intel NUC or Apple Mac Mini for power users who need PCIe expansion,” added Lee. “The OCuLink port alone justifies the upgrade for many.”
Pricing remains undisclosed, but pre-orders are expected to start at $649 for the base configuration. Shipments begin in early March.
